Deliciously warm, melty brie with some sophisticated toppings.
This dish will have you looking like a nonchalantly cool campfire cook (read: basically impossible to mess up and always looks impressive).
Pair with crackers or crudité. Have it as a starter or call it dinner. No judgement here.
Ingredients:
- Brie
- Fig paste
- Toasted pistachios
Method:
Toast nuts in pan then set aside
Place brie in a pan on a fire that has burned down low (don’t want the paper catching fire)
Top with fig paste and warm to a point where it’s nice and gooey
Sprinkle with toasted pistachios and enjoy!
Mudgee is the perfect place to find all sorts of small-batch bougie accompaniments – so here are some other topping suggestions & where to source them during your day-tripping of the region:
- Honey, walnuts and rosemary – Honey Haven
- Maple syrup and roasted grapes – Mudgee Farmers’ Markets
- Caramelised balsamic and roasted cherry tomatoes – Aril Estate
