Hi, we’re Georgie and family — your neighbours just over the ridge here at Piambong. We live next door with our three daughters, a handful of free-ranging chickens, our blue cattle dog, and a garden that’s always half thriving, half being raided by kangaroos.
We moved to this patch of countryside when our girls were just 3 months old (yes, triplets!), looking for more space and to get our hands in the dirt.
Not long after, we came across the block next door — the house, just a crumbling mudbrick shell, but the same soaring views we enjoy from our home, and a valley setting so private and peaceful, it instantly felt like something we had to share. So we did a bit of dreaming, rolled up our sleeves, and brought Piambong Tops to life.
The cabin itself is a beautifully designed and crafted, fully transportable building by Base Cabin – chosen for its strong thermal performance, minimal footprint, and circularity principals (it can be moved to a different location in the future if this is ever required!).
Interior fit out is by interior designer Lauren Egan, and has been overlaid with warm details reflecting my previous career as a furniture upholsterer and quirky, human touches to make you smile and feel right at home.
Not by accident, the internal footprint is compact and contents minimal. This gives you a definite head start in disconnecting and recharging! A purpose built large outdoor deck area draws you out into the nature and will keep you there late under the stars.

The cabin is in many ways an extension of us — maybe not our everyday reality (life’s a bit of a circus really!) — but our best kind of life. The one that values slowness, simplicity, and the big restorative power of nature. The wild surrounds are very much the main character, and our hope is that this place gives you a gentle portal into that world. A breather from the switched-on pace of city life. A reset, of sorts.
